Association of Chief Police Officers

In partnership with government and the Association of Police Authorities, ACPO leads and coordinates the direction and development of the police service in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Police officers are frequently first on the scene of fires, especially those arising from road traffic accidents.

Chief Fire Officers’ Association

CFOA is the foremost official organisation for principal fire officers in the UK. It is the forum in which principal fire officers meet and discuss fire related or government influenced matters. Fire and rescue services are active in providing advice and training about fire safety at work and in the home.

Fire Protection Association

Owned by the British insurance industry, the FPA provides information about identifying and managing fire risks for industry and commerce, through a variety of services.

Association of British Insurers

The ABI represents the collective interests of the UK’s insurance industry. Of particular concern to insurers is the reduction of losses of life and property in fires in the home and at work, and they have been closely involved with the Society from its inception.
